Play (Toronto): Snow Bride

  • The Box 89 Niagara Street Toronto ON Canada (map)

This May, the Box Toronto hosts Snow Bride - a one-person show written by David James Brock, starring Katie Hood and directed by Paul Hutcheson.

Hood plays the role of Helena: a poet, a fiancé and an addict. No one shows up for Helena’s bachelorette party, so she invites the only friend she has left: cocaine. Alone on the night before her wedding, she reflects on her past and toasts to a new life. She wants to be different after tomorrow. Helena hopes for an intervention, but maybe it’s too late.

The program will start with a twenty-minute featured performance by Rachelle Elie, an award-winning comedienne who has been showcased on The Comedy Network and The Women’s Television Network.
